Many people on this forum have mentioned the "good salary" package offered by CNA. What is the actual salary range for an EFL Instructor?

If you're not a Canadian citizen, the point is moot. If you are, check the Public Service Employees site in Newfoundland - you can get an idea of the minimum (before "extras" for having to work in Doha are added)

The contracts should be the same... but the salary would surely depend on your credentials.

If you look at the website you will see it depends on (a) education (b) experience in teaching/industry - there are many different levels - that's why they vary. Also, there are some who are resident for tax purposes and those who are non-resident - allowances, etc. are calculated differently for each.

When perusing the collective agreement, you should also bear in mind that CNA views certain Newfoundland qualifications as being "superior" to those from elsewhere in Canada (let alone in the world). Unfortunately, no one outside of Newfoundland (let alone in the world) grants those qualifications with the same perspective.
