I know this question has been asked before, but I thought maybe someone would have some new information.
What do I need to know about teaching English in Rio?
I have a 60 hour TEFL certificate, one year experience teaching elementary school and a master's degree in social work. Am I able to secure a job before I move? Is the middle of Feb. a good time to interview with schools, while living in Rio? How difficult is it to secure a job at a school and make enough money to get by on? Do I have a good chance of teaching at one school and not have to travel to different locations to teach? Should I supplement working for a school with private tutoring? Should I just plan to do private tutoring? Any information will help. Thanks! |
