I was not referring to the Prohibition in force in Bahrain during Ramadan. This poster has not tasted beverage alcohol since 1990. "Water bright is my delight."

I was referring to the humidity, lack of food outlets open in daylight and the strange habit of turning night into day.

Your telling me! I am willing the hours away every day! 5.53pm fasting Ends! 6.00pm Costa Coffee with its Free Internet opens! This so far is the highlight of my Day!!

I guess it is doing my will power a whole load of good (which is part of the point really)

But even going out and remembering not to chew gum or light a fag is pretty hard after so many years practice.

On the whole, I will look back at this as a positive experience...... I think. Shocked

Dear scot47,

Sweet sufferin' succotash - YOU'RE an Aquarian, too? Mine's Feb, 14th. Well, there goes whatever smidgen of credence I might have ever had in astrology.

Only sixty-three huh, you whippersnapper. Have you decided yet what you're going to be when you grow up?

Regards,
John

I have been warned to avoid the trap of TEFL. Maybe something nice like a train driver.

I live in a place where thank the LORD there is no WalMart. As for being a Greeter I am not sure I have the temperament to be nice to my intellectual and social inferiors.

Maybe I will just stick to TEFLing.

Dear scot47,

"As for being a Greeter I am not sure I have the temperament to be nice to my intellectual and social inferiors.

Maybe I will just stick to TEFLing."

Now, what's odd about this statement? Only the fact that it implies either that scot47 is NOT nice to his students (heaven forfend) or that he considers them all to be (at least) his "intellectual and social" equals.

Regards,
John
