Has anyone experienced working for Enka schools recently?

Are the management agreeable?

Hours and pay?

Students interested and obedient enough to teach?

please tell

I know people who have worked there. It's a very good school and it's very expensive, so the parents sending their kids there are wealthy. This is a school where the kids need to learn how to say "maid driver gardener nanny" before they learn "doctor teacher bus driver".

Parents rule if they want to - and a few do.

There are a few vague rumours of people without teaching degrees getting jobs there, but they are VERY few and far between. TEFL doesn't cut it. It's a "real" school. I do know for a fact that one person was hired a long time ago without a teaching certificate (ie PGCE) and they promptly made her start planning to do it part-time that summer. They do take themselves seriously. Having said that, they aren't perfect.

The management is changeable: in some ways it is very good but there are sudden, unexpected "blind spots" for them. It is one of those places where you won't last long if they dislike you - although I do have to say, I've heard that they are pretty reasonable about WHO they dislike, and why.

Pay and benefits are good and so are holidays but if they say you are coming in on Saturday for a meeting, you come. The fact that you'd planned something is not relevant.

Good location and facilities and material support.
