I went through an organization called EasyVisa, which helped me out every step of the way. I got my Zivno very quickly/easily through their help. If you're interested, send them an email at [email protected]

Hi , Does anyone have any recent up to date info regarding the costs involved in getting a zivno ? ie....How much for the paperwork and maybe getting someone to do it , and how much do you have to have in your Czech bank account I think you have to put up some sort of bond ?
I have read many varying descriptions on the web
UK citizen if that is any use . Thanks . |

Hi Moto,
It looks like all you'll be needing is a Zivnostensky list (since the long term residence visa that usually accomplanies it isn't necessary for you). Here is an outline for the costs of this.
The main costs associated include:
Application - 1,000 CZK
Zivno Assistance (you'll need a Czech speaker to go to the various offices for you to get you registered) - this should cost you no more than 6,500 CZK
Health Insurance - 5,300 CZK or less for half a year
Since you're an EU citizen, you're avoiding the major expenses that are associated with obtaining the long term visa.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info Teflexpat Thats is a big relief , I seem to recall someone telling me I had to have a bond of several thousand pounds tied up in a czech bank account , those figures you have quoted are very doable for me Thanks . |

I'm not sure this is necessary. My Czech isn't great, but I went to the office and sorted it out myself without the help of a translator/interpreter. It wasn't easy and they weren't friendly, but it was free.
Even if you did enlist the help of an agency, I think you can do it for much less than 6,500 CZK. |
