Hi Gang!

What is the total cost and requirements on both ends (Saudi and Bahrain) for Multiple entry/exit visas and tolls?

I have a frend in Bahrain that says that I can get a 5 year multiple entry Visa from Bahrain, but will have to come in and out a least once a month. If I take this option what will i have to get on the Saudi side?

5-year multiple ?

I never heard of that. If you are employed in Saudi and if your employer agrees you can get a multiple exit/re-entry valid for 6 months.

Some companies will not give you one of these, eg British Aerospace.
Word is that they think EFL instructors will sell the secrets of the Present Simple to North Korean agents in Bahrain.

Teh five year entry re-entry is from the Bahraini end. That is to say you can come in and out of Bahrain for five years, but cannot stay longer than a month each time.

The British don't need a visa for Bahrain, so there is less of a problem.

From the Saudi end you get a multiple entry re-entry visa for SR500. This is valid for six months from the first date of departure, and that first date of departure must be within two months of having been issued the visa. Because the visa may be used for a period of eight months after being issued the Saudis insist on the iqama being valid for eight months. If it is valid for less you can renew for another year, and that renewal will run from when it has expired.

Confusing question me thinks but to add what Stephen has said you will need to purchase a bookof tickets for the tollways which give you a discounted rate and insurance which comes to about just under 1000 rats a month plus if you are working in Saudi the 500 rats for the 6 months multi visa.

And the cost of housing in Bahrain ! Would it not be easier to bite the bullet and live in Khobar/Dhahran/Dammam ?

Now that you have clarified what you want......55 riyals in toll charges and insurance plus of course 500 for a multi visa or 200 for a one off visa.
