Hi! I am going to go through the TeachingChile Program this February 09 but am having a hard time deciding which category of students I would like to teach. Well quite frankly out of the choices of Kinder-Grade 12, University, and Adult Business Learners...the university struck my interest. But it also has the lowest salary.
Kinder-Grade 12 (co-teach with a chilean teacher for 30 hours a week)
I believe around $720 usdollars
University (solo-teach for 15 hours a week)
about $640 dollars
Adult Business Learners (20 hours a week solo-teach)
I hear you make the most money but I don't know how much

Does anyone have any experience with TeachingChile or these age groups? I would live any advice at all.

I am going through a placement agency because I am completely new at this and need the help.

Also I have a choice of a 5 month or year contract..I might choose the year.

I came through TeachingChile and when I filled out my application I just checked all of the choices. I just kind of left it up to fate. I worked at the University and I feel that was the best choice for me. I had a great experience there. I am not sure...but I think the pay is relatively the same for all options. It's liveable and I was fine...I did have savings though that I dipped into very occasionally.
