Hi,

I am an American looking for short term work in Pilsen. I teach ESOL here in the states and as my public school is closed for most of July and August, I'd like to visit a friend in Pilsen and work for about 4 weeks. I've got tons of experience, but I know little about CR and my friend isn't well versed on the ESOL market there.

Cheers in advance for any advice!

J

There is little work in that time period, and what is available is usually snapped up by established teachers in the region.

Europeans take holidays quite seriously in general, and without local contacts and reputation it's unlikely that you'll find much of anything.

No school is likely to employ someone unknown for such a short term at the slowest time of the year, and private students usually take some time to round up.

You might get a few bits and pieces - perhaps target students going off to university somewhere English is the language of instruction, - but you're unlikely to find much. I wouldn't count on 'income' from teaching in these circumstances; anything you do come up with should be considered a bonus.
