I have a MA TESOL and have taught at universities in both Japan & Korea. 6 years university teaching experience.
What are the chances of someone like me finding a job teaching at a college or university in Italy?
My passport is an American...so probably got one strike against me already. |

Do you read news?
You need a EU passport to legally work in an EU country! |

I'm not in Europe, so, no, I'm not reading european newspapers.
I had an idea it wasn't a possibility, but always good to confirm.
Okay, I'll write off everywhere in the EU as a possibility. |

I'm American and I work in a uni in the Netherlands. However, it's hard....the school has to argue to the national government that you bring skills and quals that no EU citizen candidate can bring to the position. In my case, I actually have specialist quals that fit the job, plus I have local connections and language skills.
Not zero chance, but you have to have something they can't find here, so very rare. |
