Hi,
I am considering going back to France to teach EFL. I have a TEFL certificate from EBC and have been teaching for two years as a EFL teacher in Lima , Peru. I was also an English teacher in France and in the USA and yes I have the EU passport. I
Many posts seems to say that a CELTA greatly enhances your chances of finding a job in Europe. Considering the fact that I have a recognized TEFL certificate and the years of experience I am really wondering if it would be worth investing time and money for another certificate that would not bring me more knowledge. On the contrary I am interested in taking the CPE to beef up my resume. How much does a passing CPE exam weighs compared to a CELTA in the eye of a French or Spanish recruiter?

CPE is a proficiency test of English for non-native English speakers. If you are a non-native speaker, yes, it will enhance your CV in Europe. |
