Does anybody know of any good grammar sites with quick search modes??? Moving around I have lost all of my reference books and sometimes of course you need to look something up. Any favorites??? |

Hello Gerard:
Johnslat has provided some excellent links, so I will add just one more today. The link below takes you to one of the most complete etymology websites on the Web. I use it a lot.
It's kind of cool to be able to learn about the history, origins and modern usage of almost ANY word you can think of ... at the mere click of your mouse. Think of this as a SUPER-dictionary. There's no grammar here, but some readers may find the site useful.
Here's the link: www.geocities.com/etymonline/index.html
Regards,
keNt
PS: I've been told that access to 'geocities' websites may be blocked in China. If that's true, I apologize in advance for those of you living in the People's Republic. |

Hey moderator--why not make this a "sticky" post? |
