Hello to all you UK-dwellers,

Is there anything of note going on in the UK music scene? Being out in Taiwan I am perpetually immersed in Eminem and the like. I miss British music.

The Austro-Hungarian Empire still takes the cake. Who can surpass Mozart and Haydn ?

You poor thing!!! There's loads going on with new music, it just depends what you're into. I don't like NME too much myself, at the mo it seems to be on some shitty grungy new-wave music thing.... Not too keen myself.

Franz Ferdinand are new and fantastic; Snow Patrol are dead good; there's gonna be some cracking new albums out this year - Doves, Charlatans, Beta Band, Gomez, Candidate.....
Can you not order any music through Amazon or anything?? I could recommend some good stuff you should get if you want!!
Surprised

ok how about Gomez? I have heard some of their songs and I liked them.
I have a couple Charlatans albums, one of them is Up to Our Hips.

oh sure. I can easily find music. We have HMV and Virgin stores in Japan. But one thing I don`t like is that music isn`t always released in Japan the same time it is in the UK or in the USA.

I would like to hear the new Morrissey album but I was told that it might be released in Japan in June. Oh well. Well, if it is as good as Your Arsenal I will be sure to buy it.
