Hi everyone,
I might have to learn Korean soon. Can anyone maybe tell me if it is a difficult language to learn?
Thanks, Doro |

Hi I live in Korea and I can't imagine how difficult it would be to learn Korean OUTSIDE of Korea. Even in an immersion environment here it's not too easy.
Post your question on the Korea section. |

it's easy if you're around Koreans. Check out hanlingo.com and youtube. You can learn the alphabet pretty easily. |

Its not that hard to learn when compared to Japanese or Chinese. But, when comparing to romance languages, yes, it is kinda hard. |

The written language is easy! (To pronounce that is, understanding is a different thing.)
I don't speak Korean, but I do speak Japanese which has the same grammatical structure. It's very different from English and makes for a tough learning curve. But it's not bad once you get used to it. For me, the writing system in Japanese was the toughest nut to crack, so Korean has a lot going for it in that respect. |
