Hey guys,
I ended up getting a personal interview for Amity and it went okay.
I am really greatful for all of the useful information on this forum.
I was just wondering if anyone out there has worked for Amity or has ever been hired before because I'm really anxious.
I've heard that if they want to hire you, they'll pretty much tell you if they are able to contact your references and then ask for a background check soon after your personal interview.
Is this true??
How long does it take for them to contact you about background checks/references?
Ah...I'm so nervous.

Hello Butterflies,
I am guessing that you interviewed in Atlanta. I am in the same boat as you, and a bit nervous. I was told that it could take up to 1 month to hear back in my personal interview. However, I have read online that others have heard back in about 2 weeks.
Good Luck To You! |

Ahh, I've read the same things.
It's only been 3 days and I'm so anxious.
Let me know if you hear back from them! |

Hello,
I am actually going over with Amity in May, and like you was extremely nervous. I wouldn't worry about it too much, they are real good with following up. They responded to me in about 7 days...Danielle is awesome if she is your contact. Goodluck to you both. |

Thank you for your response.
7 days! Geez that's early!
I didn't interview with her, but she was the one
who called me to tell me about the personal interview,
so maybe she is in charge of contacting people!
It makes me more nervous, but
I'll be patient and hope for the best. |

Hey guys, I am going over to work for Amity in April. I interviewed with them in Dec in LA. I heard back from them about 3 to 4 days later because they were having a problem contacting a few of my references. After that was cleared up I got the call in about two weeks. So it really depends on how long it takes for them to contact your references. Could take a few days, could take a month. Hang in there and good luck guys! |

Hello and thanks for the response!
That's awesome that you are headed to Japan next month.
I've heard that they let you know if they are having a hard time
getting in touch with your references when they have
pretty much decided that they want to hire you.
I brought 3 letters of recommendation and only have 1 more reference that they need to check ...so it's makes me nervous to think that they either just threw me out the window or they were smoothly able to get in touch with my fourth reference :/ |

I would imagine that they had a few days off after the Atlanta interviews. They could begin to check references this week. I don't believe they have contacted any of mine yet.
It sounds like folks who interview at Amity offices in LA and Toronto hear back earlier than those who interview on the road. |

Seems like it!
I'm still hoping for the best
Edit: I also found out that they haven't contacted my references too |

I'm in the same boat as everyone that's been posting. Hopefully We'll have some responses by next week though. |

If possible make sure your references are checking their spam boxes incase they just sent them an email. Thats part of what slowed up my process I think. |

Thanks for the heads up!
I think that they just haven't contacted my references :/
In the case that my references got e-mails from Amity and those e-mails went to their spam box, I think that Amity would have contacted me by now to tell me that they were having trouble:( Is that what happened to you? |
