Hi,
I'm planning to move to France to look for teaching work this autumn. I live in Slovakia at the moment but feel it will soon be time for a change of scene, and I've wanted to live in France for a while. I know it isn't the easiest country to find work in, so I want to make sure I am in the right place at the right time. I'd like to go to the south; some of the places I'm considering are Montpellier (looks like the most likely option at the moment), Bordeaux and Aix-en-Provence. Does anyone have any advice about living and working in these cities, the likelihood of finding work, or the best time to look for it?
To summarise my qualifications etc: I am 23, British with a BA in English and the CELTA. By the summer I will have 18 months' experience with two language schools in Slovakia, teaching General English to adults and some children. I can speak French at roughly intermediate level and am thinking of enrolling on a language course in France for a few weeks in the summer. Oh, and I don't have a driving licence.
Any advice/info greatly appreciated - thank you!
