Hi everyone,

I've just seen an ad for the above company. Haven't been able to find anything on the net about them. Anyone heard anything about them, good or bad?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is owned by a rich 19 or 20 year old member of the ruling family who uses his connections and has no clue how to run a school. One teacher went to the labor court to claim unpaid wages but the issue was settled out of court. Another teacher is owed over 100,000 riyals but will never see his money as his residency was canceled. The premises are state of the art but the teachers are underpaid or have payment issues. The assistant is a prancer who has no clue about running a school either. They need to get a good management team, pay teachers on time and well and provide appropriate benefits. Otherwise it will just remain another rinky dink language school.

Now, who in the world would agree to work for a Qatari sheikh with a reindeer as an assistant? If that's not the silliest management combination!

It's crazy, I tells ya!

This place wasn't here when I used to live here. Nobody I know works there.

A friend of mine is working there part-time now, and says things are slightly better than they used to be.

It seems that they have gotten rid of the old management and have some new people in place.

Supposedly, they have more work than teachers at the moment and are looking to recruit some new full-time native speakers.

Still owned by the same Sheikh, though.

So how come people quit and how come people are owed money.

Time will tell if this is a good place or not.

It appears that time has already told Wink.

I take back what I said earlier--they've got rid of the better management and are putting the old management (who, from all accounts of their organizational / management skills, couldn't arrange a turd in a toilet) back into place.

That's what I mean. I heard they started out well, got rid of a good admin person and went downhill from thereon.

That's the way the wind blows.
