I have a dui on my record from 2005, can I still secure a visa to teach in Brasil? |

First, (as has been discussed many times on this forum) obtaining a visa to teach in Brazil is near impossible for anybody with or without a problem concerning a criminal record check.
However, for any kind of visa in Brazil as far as I know a criminal record check is part of the process. I had to provide one for my tourist, student and permanent visa processes.
Would a DUI preclude someone? Im not sure. You could try and come as a tourist (or on another kind of visa) As almost all of us are anyway. Why dont you contact the Brazilian consulate nearest to you and ask them? |
