Does anyone here know anything about teacher opportunities in Austria (particularly freelancing)? I can find absolutely nothing about it anywhere. The local book stores and libraries don't even have travel books about Austria.
Thanks!

My advice...just go. One of my good friends went over there 2 years ago and with no experience or degree he landed a job teaching English in a school in Austria making 400 euro a week. He lied a little but did a good job, and taught there for about 6 months. You can also live in Hungry which is what he did and live very inexpensively. You should be able to find something about the schools there before you go. Call them and send them your CV. People on these types of forums will mostly be cynical, and if you listen too hard you won't go anywhere. Good luck!

It's so close to Hungary to Austria that he could commute to work? Interesting!

What was his name??

I may well know him, if we worked for the same company.

to Niffree - Working between Austria and Hungary will only work if the company/school you work for will pay for travel and hotel/rent while you are in Austria, otherwise there is no chance of it happening.

ah just saw this thread is over 2 years old!!

Auistria ceased to be part of Grossdeutschland 67 years ago. It would be better to post this on the "Europe" forum.
