Please tell us! So much about the gig is the grub. Why are there Thai, Indian, Turkish, Chinese restaurants the world over, and yet so rare to hear about that new Filipino spot? How is the nosh for those that live locally, and eat locally?
Cheers

It's a mystery to me that there are so many Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Italian and Mexican restaurants but so few Filipino restaurants anywhere.
We Filipinos offer so much delicious food -- adobo, halo-halo, lumpia, palabok, sinigang, etc.
Of course, there's nothing like balut. It is the perfect nosh. Try it and you'll like it.
Good luck and good eating.

The best is BALUT! With a sprinkling of rock salt, it is a taste of heaven. Masarap!
And chop suey originally came from Taishan in Guangdong Province. So it really is Chinese in origin. |

I enjoyed balut back in January 2010 in Bataan.
I enjoyed it again the following month in Tarlac.
It tasted so good after so many years away from the Philippines. This was one of the most memorable vacations I ever had.
