I'm considering coming to Taiwan to teach, learn Mandarin and have a brand new cultural experience.
I have a degree in mechanical engineering and have always been one for numbers and science, so was wondering if there is much of a call for non-native, English-only-speaking maths (or "math" if you prefer) teachers?
I know there is something of a market for this in Hong Kong (mainly run through private agencies) but it seems that much of the hiring in Taiwan is done off the internet, so it's tough to gauge the situation.
I have no teaching experience or qualifications and am late-20s.
Thanks in advance! |

Without a certified teaching credential you will not be able to teach anywhere except a Buxiban as public schools require that you have a teaching license from your home country. If you are teaching in a Buxiban the chances of you being able to teach anything but English are slim.
Sorry. |
