at a good school. Or should I just bite the bullet and get a TEFL or TESOL or CELTA? Also what is the best time of year to look for a job.

Sorry if this has already been posted. I've seen plenty of "I don't have a CELTA threads", but nothing about those with education degrees.

thanks in advance.

Yeah, most of this stuff has been posted and hashed out before. Sometimes you just gotta jump on a plane and go for it. With an M.Ed you should have no problem finding good teaching jobs but your earning power will vary depending on the country you choose. Do some research and you'll find Cambodia's average hourly is $10 to $15. If $1,000 usd a month is enough to float your boat then get on a plane and into some EFL classrooms. You can always take a training course later.

Well, you may find work, but if you are over 50 and male, then I would not count on marrying any local women.

And not on an average teacher's salary. You wouldn't make the $2,500 cut.
