Hello everyone!
My girlfriend and I are currently taking a TEFL course here in the UK. We're hoping to head to mainland Europe in to teach from September, and while we want to teach in Italy for our first year, we are looking at eastern Europe for our second year. There's quite a lot of information about Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, but there doesn't seem to be much in regards to the three Baltic states- Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
We'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has taught or is teaching in any of these countries who can provide us with some information about where to look, availability of jobs and other general info. We will both have TEFL qualifications, although my girlfriend has a degree but I don't. Would this be a problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks! |

I'm really looking for anyone who has experience of Latvia, specifically IH Riga.
What's Riga like to live in? Do the stag parties cause much hassle? what's a decent starting salary?
y'know...the usual!
cheers. |
