I am really wanting to teach in Central or Eastern Europe. I am currently job searching and want to get a job for Europe that starts in September 2011. However, I know that it is difficult for a non EU citizen to find work there without applying for the job in person, but I am not able to be there in person at the moment. Does anyone have any advice, experience, or contacts? I would appreciate it. Thanks! |

I'm not sure it's possible to get a job without being physically present. Italians at any rate are very reluctant, if not completely averse, to the idea of hiring long distance.
The only thing that comes to mind is that I've heard that some countries' governments organize visas for English teachers to come and teach for a year. The only thing though is that you don't get to choose where and you generally have to speak the language first. I think France and Spain do this. Italy does not. |
