Read a wonderful website about surfing and teaching in Taiwan.
Made it seem like I could surf in the mornings and teach in the afternoons.
Fantasies aside, how have you found surfing in Taiwan?
And balancing it out with your work life, is it still possible to enjoy a good surf without tiring yourself out for your job?
I see Taiwan as the perfect place to work during the week, earn good enough money and surf during the weekends, am I right to assume this or are there better alternatives?
Take care. |

Hey SimonUK
I work with a guy whose whole existence is around teaching and surfing in Taiwan. He has lots of opportunities to surf, and live a pretty decent life.
Granted, it's not the surf you'd find in Australia and Indonesia - but there are quite a few good "double - overhead" days on the beaches of FuLong, Ilan and others...
Let me know if you're still interested and I'll pass the guys email onto you (He's a golden southern california surfer) and he could tell you better than I could. |
