Can anyone tell me if you know of a good college in Qatar with a Communications Dept (journalism dept). Also any college or city which you would suggest as someplace to stay away from?

I would expect they usually only employ US passport holders with extensive US journalism experience and/or use faculty from their US campus in many positions - This isn't an EFL gig per se.

thanks. looks great although they only hire from 1 university in the U.S. otherwise looks like a good uni.

sort of an understatement - http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/world-university-rankings/2010-2011/top-200.html ranks them 25 out of the top 200 universities worldwide (of course the list is only as good as the organization doing the rankings - so if the times higher education is not respected neither is the list)
