Didja ever notice how when so many other threads get created, how older ones, some just over a year old, get pushed down out of view?
I just thought that a thread that has nearly 43,000 views should be afforded more dignity than that.
God knows, the employees aren't!

Well... a whole academic year has passed since the meltdown described in this thread, It seems that they didn't do a replay this year, but I wonder how many teachers bailed out in AD this year.

Well, there were some firings, but not on the same scale as recruitment is difficult. There WERE a LOT of bail-outs and, at the very end, they attempted to punk out the last year EOS for a lot who decided to walk away after contract completion by telling them not to show up for the last week, thereby making it a less than one year period of employment.
Only when they were informed by some that they would be bothered by invigilation and paper grading did Tubby back down and allow them to complete their contractual obligations.
Quite the hero, right?

So...has the ADWC lost out on more students or attracted more desperate staff? Therein lies the rub...

The meltdown may have slowed at ADWC... but things keep getting worse. There were some statements about the salary raise for HCT faculty not getting paid in the August salary... that is correct.
I was hoping it was a change in the time they would release the salary for september. Well that has now come out (a week early too), but there was NO yearly salary increase.
It would be nice if Central services would have sent out a notification BEFORE the start of the year...
Yet another strike against HCT and their "transparent" management system. |

Yeah, there are some deluded souls who are holding on to the hope that this is something to do with the Ramadan 'slowdown' and that it will be resolved either just before the next pay check or next month.
Maybe the going rate for a Nobel laureate has gone up. I for one am more than willing to give up my 4% if it means HCT can afford to provide Fregie (not she of the Black Eyed Peas!, no she who is some English prince's ex-wife)with a stretched Hummer and penthouse suite at the Burj Al Arab.
This is not unprecedented it has happened before but the extra 4% was added at the last minute..............cross your fingers those pyrotechnics are expensive folks! |

But surely if they cut the beautiful girl dressed in diaphanous robes on the trapeze and the upside down portrait painter - something might be saved? |

Any word on the annual increments? Could this mean that HCT is NOT the ideal place to work/view fireworks at its annual Hou-Ha???
Why is the Vice-Chancellor threatening people and saying obscene things on the HCT hate blogs?
It's a debilitating place to work! |

Isn't that a "duh" question?
Of course, the reality is that no one would know who was making the posts that you refer to. It could be... you...
It's possible...
