So they say in Bogota to land a job at a colegio or universidad you just have to hit the ground running with your CV and go door to door. Can anyone elaborate on this process? I speak fluent Spanish, have a Master's degree and present myself well; but I'm afraid I may just get shot down by the guard at the gate that many prestigious Int'l schools have out front! Who do you ask for when you get to the door? Thanks amigos |

Email and/or make phone calls prior to a visit. Ask about who it is you should be giving your CV to, and ask for a best time to visit and/or have an interview. Emphasize you are already in country. |

I think these days its also worth trying to make some connections on linkedIn. It's not as ubiquitous as it is in the US or elsewhere, but I did notice it being used more.
If you're fluent in Spanish I really wouldn't worry. Have some patience and you'll be fine. |

Check the El Tiempo classifieds. You probably won't start seeing many openings for another month. |
