The funny thing is they actually had awesome donuts and were actually something of a fashionable hangout. I wonder if anyone ever actually explained to them what the name meant. I know I didnt, haha
And on the flip side, there used to be a chain of Mexican restaurants called ChiChis in the US, and Taco Bell once had an item on the menu called a chilito. |

I'm pretty sure Chichi's still exsists in the midwest! I ate there many times growing up. |

Here in Mazatln we have "SUKKI Sushi" (that's the name... and the critical opinion!), and, as in the rest of Mexico "NIkzon" for hemmoroids... which is pronounced just like that U.S. President most of us who were around back then always said was a pain in the... uh... wazoo.
And don't forget our favorite meat product... FUD. |

"Please don't flog the door when you leave, it closes on automatic"
And the worst bit: this was seen at a language school! |

Or maybe, please don't flog stuff by the door, it closes automatically and may crush your merchandise... |

This is a little late, but I do have a picture of an establishment I saw last summer in Catemaco, Veracruz - Funerales Charmin.
They also had a hearse. |
