Hi!

Has anyone worked for CERAN in Belgium or know anything about them?

Thanks

Smile

Yes. I went through their training programme a few years back and worked there briefly (got a better offer from a university: I didn't leave because of anything negative about the school).

If it's still the same:

They use a QRI methodology (you can google this for details) in which they will train you. Training was unpaid at that time, and took about two weeks, if I recall.

You are required to spend mealtimes and other extra time with their students - it's a residential, intensive school, so don't imagine that your workload would end when classes end.

The school itself is quite isolated, and public transit there is (or was) somewhat minimal. It's far from the bright lights of Brussels (well, as far as one can get in tiny Belgium!).

Pay was pretty low - this is generally true in Belgium.

They were not able to get work permits for non-EU teachers (don't know if this would be a problem for you or not).

They were entirely pleasant, professional, and up front to work with.

I know there have been a few posters who've worked there more recently than I, so you might do a search for CERAN here, but if I recall correctly, the basic info as I've noted above hadn't changed.
