Hello all in Qatar,
Does anyone have any information concerning working at the above mentioned School in Qatar? Someone who already works there, has previously worked in the School. Please be objective as to the management style, salaries for teachers etc, working conditions, standard of the staff accommodation if offered, Support from the owners to the management team. I visited their website already. Any honest information would be appreciated. They do the IB Curriculum there and I have experience of teaching the IB system. Looking forward to getting some objective answers. Many thanks.

My daughter goes to school there, so I have some familiarity with the school. Definitely not a "cowboy" institution. I know some Doha long-timers who are teaching there now after years at Qatar Academy.

A new school but my friend knows a teacher there. It's not too bad - one of the better paying establishments but like most places, they are overworked. The standards are pretty good.

Can anyone give me an update. I am supposed to interview with them.

I have read over at ISR that they are a bit shady?

I am not sure what to believe.

Please help.

It depends what you mean as shady. One of my buddies has a wife who works there. They pay on time, pay a bit higher than most, work you very hard and are way out in the desert. You need a car to get there, if you rely on taxis you will be spending 150 QR a day! However, that said, the classes are smaller than most places.
