Is there a need to have a vpn in Taiwan to get to Facebook or Youtube? Is it noticeably censored? |

Why would it be censored? Not being a smartarse but what has led you to believe a VPN would be required? |

I used to have trouble getting into demonoid.com, but that was my ISP's fault and not the government.
Why would there be any kind of censorship in a democratic country? |

That's why I am asking... His username implies that he/she was or is in China, so that's the only reason I can think of... |

Well...China's propaganda machine is pretty impressive, and they've managed to convince a lot of people that Taiwan is a part of China. I guess it makes sense that some people might think it's the same government over here with the same restrictions.
I sure hope I didn't open a can of baloney with this post... |
