Hi all

I'm a 44-y-o UK citizen with BA (Hons) English, PGCE (Cont Ed) and CELTA. My eight years' experience has mostly been in teaching Cambridge exams (FCE, CAE, CPE) to adults at private language schools here in Poland, although I recently volunteered for several months in Thailand, teaching primary kids in state schools.

I can see that I'm qualified enough for job+hunting in Singapore. But am I qualified for international schools? My PGCE (labelled 'Continuing Education') is specifically geared towards the post-16 sector and, as such, I have never had QTS in the UK.

I've looked at the Ministry's website but am not sure what their approach to my PGCE would be.

Thanks for any info.

Yes, you'll be able to find work here.

You might struggle to find work at an international school, but will be able to find work teaching ESL.

You really need to be here and dedicate some time to finding a job. This can be an expensive process.

Singapore is a nice place to live.
