I have finally left the comforts of Taiwan after four years. Welcome to fellow members in Costa Rica. I currently live outside of Jaco Beach. |

I plan to save $12,000 a year while I live in Costa Rica. Why would I spend more money than I earn? |

Great, that's not a typical ESL salary in Latin America. Or have you moved on from ESL? |

Teach Asian students online and you can earn around $25,000 a year while living in Central America. |

Not typical for teachers with little training or experience, but I know plenty of teachers who save $10,000 a year. I usually manage to save $5000 or $6000 dollars, while travelling to the US twice a year, inside of Mexico several times a year, and one other vacation trip as well. |

Sweet gig...you're making the most of it!
Will the time zone difference not be an issue? |

Making that kind of money, waking up in the middle of the night to teach may not seem like a serious problem. |

Actually that is not my job. It was just a suggestion. I do copywriting for company websites. |
