I am close to possibly buying a ticket for Costa Rica now.

I will live in San Jose.

sorry if this question has been asked many times but let's do it again if you don't mind - thanks.

I have been a Tefler for about 10 years now - I have Celta but no degree (though am currently doing one)

Could I make $1500/month in San Jose easy enough, or how about $1000?

People here seem to make out the pay to be roughly $8hr - that seems rather low considering Costa Rica is not especially cheap.

Any recent opinions on this would be great.

Unfortunately 8 dollars an hour is probably what you will get. I would advise having some savings.....you do the math!

Ok. Figure now.

Buying a beer in Costa Rica? ( a walker , to go )

Beer in Costa Rica /hourly pay in Costa Rica ( you might want to mention expected monthly hours available )

Street Meal?

A Meal in Costa Rica / hourly pay in Costa Rica.

Yes. Figure. Use your math skills and give us your calculations based on your comment and my math.

Keep in mind that this is a forum about Costa Rica and only Costa Rica. We know other countries exist but we are prohibited by the Terms of Service of this board not to discuss other countries when on a forum about a specific country.

Therefore, you might want to omit any references to the other countries you mentioned in your post. ( just a suggestion, it is up to you but you are cruising for a bruising by the moderator )
