I have seen people on this forum asking questions regarding job opportunities and possibilities in India. Well, I would like to say.. "YES", It does have and that too huge in number. Like any other country India is no exception. One can get handsome salary and good job profile.

You can keep a track of openings in abroad through various job listing websites. one being----> http://www.esljobsworld.com/esl-jobs/all-esl-jobs.html

I hope this information serves its purpose for aspiring people who wants to teach English as a secondary Language.

India would be a most wondrous place to teach.

The culture is most colorful.

Of course when you look at the website, it is all jobs for CHINA...and to a lesser degree Korea/Middle East.

Looks like we just got hit by a spammer advertising his/her general 'esl' website.

Yes it's pretty sad when recruiters for China or Korea have to come to a the India forum.
That tells you what it's like to teach in either of those two countries.
It wasn't that long ago where I read that 1/2 the teachers in both those countries leave after their first year.
WOW....just WOW.

I have never visited India, but most people who have visited would go back again. One day I will get there.

I teach in Korea. Have been here for almost 3 years now. I am thinking about relocating but not because I am not happy, but because of other circumstances. And I know many teachers who have been here for over 5 years. And some who have been here for 10.
I guess it depends on what you expect from the experience. And yes you can come across bad people who might try to screw you over but that happens almost everywhere.

Korea is probably the most welcoming country in Asia (with decent pay) for internationals to start off the ESL experience. I haven't taught in other countries but I have spoken to those who have taught in both China and Japan and both agree that Korea is more comfortable than both of those countries.
