I'm an English teacher who likes reading and doing TESOL-related research. Instead of paying the cost of buying + shipping academic books, would buying an e-reader be a better idea? Are there many academic books/journals now available on e-readers? Which e-reader has more academic books/journals.

Academic books/journal examples that I'm interested in:
Principles of language teaching & learning, Brown
A Course in TESOL, Penny Ur
Second Language Acquisition, Rod Ellis
TESOL Quarterly
System
Language Learning & technology
