It's currently 1:20 am and the karaoke is still blaring. I googled this and someone mentioned a week??? Should I get a hotel? I'll deal with it for tonight, but I don't want to hear this day in and day out for a week. Have a splitting headache from it right now. |

In my experience, they do go on a few days. I've only had the misfortune of being disturbed by one once long ago. It only go really loud early the last morning when they brought in a marching band and that was just for maybe 15 minutes.
How did your situation end up and where are you located? |

Sorry never noticed the reply until now. I didn't get a hotel, as I recall it lasted 5 days in total, although the last day was quiet after the morning marching band. So basically four days of hell, and I didn't even live next door to the people. They would quiet the music at 2 or 3 am and then resume at 6 or 7 am and it was blaring. Occassionaly people would visit to pay their respects and the music would get turned down for a bit, but then it would come right back up. There was also a drinking party with singing the first day.
While the marching band thing is a bit of an annoyance if you are trying to sleep in, not something I would complain about for the death of a loved one. But I think four days of continual music only giving neighbors 3 to 4 hours a night to sleep was quite excessive. I don't know if these people are typical though. They have a party usually about once a month and I swear at least a hundred motorcycles get parked. I don't know if they have that many friends or if they charge a fee and make money off of it. |
