At Trump University, Students Recall Pressure to Give Positive Reviews
By Michael Barbaro & Steve Eder, The New York Times | 11 March 2016
Source: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/12/us/politics/donald-trump-trump-university.html
The following is an excerpt:
Quote: |
Mr. Trump has vowed to fight the litigation, which includes a class-action lawsuit in San Diego seeking refunds for former Trump University students, and a lawsuit from the New York attorney general. He has said the aggrieved former students are simply looking for easy money after having learned valuable lessons about how to buy and sell real estate, obtain financing and spot undervalued properties.
Though the business no longer operates, Mr. Trump has vowed to bring it back, giving it to his children to run if he is elected president.
As he campaigns across the country boasting about the Trump University success story, he and his lawyers have deployed the evaluations to try to undercut the claims of former students who say they regret paying for the courses, posting their reviews online and, in one instance, waving them in front of a camera. |
(End of excerpt)
Then there's this recent nonsense from Trump (and not a bright move):
Trump Attacks Federal Judge in Trump U Case
By Reid Epstein, The Wall Street Journal | 27 May 2016
Source: http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2016/05/27/trump-attacks-federal-judge-in-trump-u-case/
The following are excerpts:
Quote: |
“I have a judge who is a hater of Donald Trump, a hater. He’s a hater. His name is Gonzalo Curiel,” Mr. Trump said, as the crowd of several thousand booed. “He is not doing the right thing. And I figure, what the hell? Why not talk about it for two minutes?”
“We’re in front of a very hostile judge,” Mr. Trump said. “The judge was appointed by Barack Obama, federal judge. Frankly, he should recuse himself because he’s given us ruling after ruling after ruling, negative, negative, negative.”
“What happens is the judge, who happens to be, we believe, Mexican, which is great. I think that’s fine,” Mr. Trump said.
Judge Curiel was born in Indiana.
"I think Judge Curiel should be ashamed of himself,” Mr. Trump said.
“I’m telling you, this court system, judges in this court system, federal court, they ought to look into Judge Curiel. Because what Judge Curiel is doing is a total disgrace, OK?" |

A.Word.A.Day: "If you can scam someone to the tune of $35,000 (see the article linked below) and still have them vote for you, you must have fed them something strong. The secret sauce that Donald Trump has brewed has two main ingredients: hate and fear.
Hate and fear are powerful emotions. They can trump everything. At least for a short time.
If you can convince people to fear or hate someone different -- a different religion, a different skin tone, a different nationality -- you can have them do anything. Even vote against their self-interest.
Consider this week’s A.Word.A.Day a form of public service message. This week we’ve picked miscellaneous words from articles that shine a light on Trump’s trumpery.
We’ll include links to complete articles. Whether you vote in the US presidential elections or not, these articles are required reading."
File under: Just how friggin' stupid can idiots get?
"Boyce Chait, 84, and his wife Evelyn, 80, live in New Jersey. They demanded but were refused a refund after their $34,995 mentorship [program offered by Trump ‘University’] proved, Boyce says, ‘to be worth nothing. When it came to the nitty-gritty, there was nothing there.’
Nonetheless, Boyce said he and his wife would still ‘vote for Trump over Hillary Clinton,’ because they are members of the Tea Party.”

Why in heck are Boyce and Evelyn trying to get into the real estate market in their 80s anyway? Any reputable institution of learning would question their application for study very seriously and taking their money is nothing but a SCAM.
If I were related to these folks, I'd ask their doctor to check if they are still mentally competent as enrolling in a 35,000 dollar training course at their age sounds seriously dodgy.
Never mind claiming membership in the Tea Party, or planning to vote for Trump even though his institution scammed them |

The "university's" infomercial can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q1N_B6Y4ZQ with the spotlight on Trump. Yep. According to Trump, the school offers a business education taught by "absolutely terrific professors" (hand-picked by Trump) with "terrific brains" (also hand-picked by Trump). The focus is on "knowledge about a lot of different things" that will help students become successful like Trump. Heck, I'm sold! Sign me up, baby! |

Nobody ever accused Trump of being honest. There are things worse than dishonesty, Ivory Tower academicians above everybody else, liberals helping immigrants take jobs away from people already established here with absolutely no empathy or concern. Presumably they open up jobs in the US, but I have never particularly been witness to that. The jobs open up for their immigrant constituency, they help their constituency. The Trump riots in Albuquerque in which the Holy liberals and university students, who believe they are entitled to pronounce themselves wiser than everybody else, participated in, not waiting for the voters to decide, put me completely into the Trump party, whereas before I was undecided between Trump and Clinton. |

Hmmmm. Bummer.
Liberals and university students are in fact voters too. Why should they wait for the voters to decide? Their ideas are as valuable as those of others throughout the contest. |

Yes, but the news about this comes from the anti-Trump crowd. It is relevant. Motion denied.
Hey, Trump me? No, Trump U! |

Guess we'll see if the justice system is pro-Trump or anti-Trump. |

If an Independent candidate runs for president, then say bye bye to Trump. |
Yeah, cuz Trump has been so easily rattled in the past. And the Never Trump Crowds are not much more than neocon creeps who would vote for Clinton to save their precious foreign policy.
PS-That plan could work if the Cuck Christians fall for the neocon jive. The Trumpenprole-not a chance! |
