Obama and I seem to have something we share: a brother (well, in his case a "half") who's a jerk.
You can choose your friends but you're stuck with your family.

If you read the full NY Post article mentioned in the link above, you'll find it reported that he is a life long Democrat and a U.S. citizen with previous voter registration. |

Yes, I caught that part.

Obama used to live in Maryland, where he worked for many years as an accountant and is registered to vote there, public records show. |
I was looking for confirmation of his citizenship but found a mess of dodgy articles.
Thanks. |

He seems to have a sensible reason for his choice. |

Well, any best friend of Khadafy must be a GREAT judge off character.
He’s also annoyed that Clinton and President Obama killed Libyan leader Moammar Khadafy, whom he called one of his best friends.

How well do you know this gentleman? Or is just that he disagrees with your political view that you feel the need to insult him? |

Well, that was before I realized that the estimable and revered Moammar Khadafy was one of his best friends.

Clearly, he is much more than just a mere jerk. I apologize for the understatement.

And what did Gaddafi ever do to you? He did a lot for the people of Libya. Unfortunately, Clinton and President Obama decided all the infrastructure needed to be blown up in order to oust a leader who did not agree with them. But Bush right?
These politicians are all idiots who will destroy, kill, maim, anyone who disagrees with them and then sell it with lies. If they are warmongering idiots, what does that make the people who accept their lies?
I would not call this man a jerk for voting for Trump or for being friends with Gaddafi, I would call him mistaken for thinking anything will change with the current situation. |

I think a certain contributor here will be forced to admit that the majority of voting Americans are "jerks" in November ... or would be, if the Good Ol' US of A had a proper election system whereby the candidate with the highest number of votes got the presidency. |

Well, if the voting machines were not produced by contributors to one side of the election it might help. Probably not much, as it is just as easy to pay counters.
Most in the US are in dire straits and need some coin. Easy to pay off. Most Dems are not pissed that the guy who promised them socialism has endorsed the woman promising war. Feel the Bern.
Politics is nothing more than a super bowl halftime show now. I feel like the people involved are like my students, more activities/more funny/more interesting. If you are not actually interested, don't want to understand, then yes this is boring when real politics are discussed. If you are interested, it is disturbing and has been since before I was born. The fact that people still debate Fox v. NYT is really a big problem. Put on a show and most people will buy it. Sad. |
