Well, here it is! The Mexico Off-Topic Forum. Well done, mods! It took a little time, but, hey, this is Mexico, after all, where everything takes time. Enjoy, everybody! |

What kinds of things would be of most interest to you? Are you thinking of relocating? |

Hey, nice digs! I expect to teach in Mexico some day or otherwise live there. So far just some traveling. Congrats on getting too big for one forum! |

C'mon, Phil, you always have something to say. Why don't you begin the discussion? |

Or, how bout them Phillies, still with the best record in MLB, even with their relative lack of hitting prowess!

For those that follow soccer how about the accusations of doping made against a number of members of the Mexican National Team, forcing them to return to Mexico with their tails tucked between their legs, in disgrace, from the Copa de Oro. Didnt matter, as it turned out, since they kicked everyones butt, but still........Now they were saying it was something they ate. On the face of it, when I first heard about it I thought it might be true. At that time I didnt know the names of the players involved, but once I found out who they were talking about, Memo Ochoa and Christian Bermudez, in particular, I had huge doubts. Since those are two of myt favorite non-Chivas players I know a fair amount about them, the type of people they seem to be, etc. And El Hobbit was going to make his debut with the National Team. Regardless of what happens, their names have been smeared and there will probably always be some who believe it was true. So, what do you think, should the names have been made public so quickly? Or couldnt they have made them sit the game out, and reported the results to FIFA, which, of course they had to do, but wait for final results. |

And, I read a report that there is going to be no rainy season this year, just more of this hot stuff, with an occasional shower, thats it. |

But I only come here to talk about teaching-related topics. If I want to speak about something else, I don't come to an online ESL cafe.
Ah, well, to each his own. Seems like a lot of people are happy about it. Enjoy. |
