What a Wonderful result for Wales! Let's hope they can beat Portugal and that get into the final. I think that's the best I have ever seen Wales play in a game. They did get away with one or two decisions but thoroughly deserved their victory. Such a shame Ramsey won't be in the semi-final. |
Sorry kpjf, but I beg to differ. When the tournament started I was (as a Scot) rooting for the four British Isles teams and would have been delighted to see Wales in the semi. Since then Bales´s comments have disappointed me. I hope the Taffs get stuffed by Portugal. |

C'mon Germany!

Tough first half, nil-nil.
Germany looks strong. Italy remains dangerous.
Let's see what the second half brings.

And with that, since reunification, Germany is a whopping 6-0 in final tournament shoot-outs.

Yes, I didn't really like some of Bale's comments either, but one person's comments don't make up the whole team! Also, if we're talking about one person's comments or actions what about Ronaldo's? His petulance just because things weren't going his way, I mean look at all those sportsplayers who don't win, do they act like Ronaldo? Then throwing the reporter's microphone in the lake topped it all. Furthermore, let's be honest Portugal have been crap in this tournament and extremely lucky to get where they are, so yes, Come on Wales! |

Maybe we have to make allowances for Gareth´s obvious intellectual linitations. He´s been in Spain for 3 years and still can´t handle simple questions about football from the press in the local language. His arrogance could have been been picked up from his teammate CR7? Anyway, a disappointing tournament all round. Wales-Portugal in the semis? |

I did actually once watch an interview with Bale in Spanish on Youtube, in August last year and was supposedly his first ever interview in Spanish. His Spanish was better than I imagined and I'm sure a lot better than Beckham's! However, it did seem like it was a kind of GCSE exam where he'd been given the questions in advance and learnt them with his private tutor. And, browsing on Youtube every other video I see he's speaking English. Maybe he got fed up rote learning a few answers |

The bottom half of the bracket has been exciting--Spain vs. Italy, then Italy vs. Germany, and now France vs. Germany. I do feel the final match will be anticlimatic.
The debutants (Iceland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Slovakia, Albania) have been a pleasant surprise.
I don't see what all the hype about Belgium was though. Number two team in the world? Yeah, yeah, I know, FIFA world rankings...
