Hm, well, I've had yellow fever, hepatitis and typhoid etc etc etc injections, so that's not a problem. The Ebola is a bit worrying though.
I had a minor accident here in Spain 6 months ago, and have a rather nasty scar to show for it, so asking questions about healthcare was on top of my list of questions to ask.
Thanks for your input!

Never applied. Happy where I am. Just curious as I interviewed for that job 3 years ago. |

I applied, and got an automated response. I sent another inquiry about how it was all going about two weeks ago, and have heard nothing. |

Maybe a good thing.
Ebola has hit Congo and Gabon again, not far from EG. It is transmitted by humans and monkeys, maybe also other bush animals. And bush meat is for the majority of people the only meat available.

Know the feeling Biff. I've done the oil rotation thing for many years (teacher, coordinator, curriculum writing) for major international oil companies and EG don't seem impressed. I wrangled an interview in early 2002 but before they decided, I took another oil company offer. Bird in hand and all that.
I must say the Training Manager at the interview was one of the biggest wankers I've had the "pleasure" to meet and the craft instructors at the group interview were singularly desultory. Only the ESL coordinator liked like a decent chap.
The company ended up at in the ME had a few fellows in the plant who had worked in EG and knew of the Training Dept in question. No one ... and I mean no one ... had a single (and I mean not one) nice thing to say about the operation.
Still 28/28 and good dosh compensates for a lot. |

Well, in that case, I'm glad I was "unsuccessful"! I don't care how much money I earn, nothing compensates for working for 'beeps'... |

I got nothing. Good thing too. I should try out that "staying on one continent for at least a few months" thing. |

Somehow, every time they advertise, no one seems to have gotten either the job or even an interview. Any success stories out there? |
