Now that accommodation is pretty much sorted out, QAC (Qatar Aeronautical College) is a decent option for those wanting to work in Qatar, but not qualified enough to work in Ed City. Salaries start at around $4000 USD. The number of teaching hours rarely exceed 16-18. Working environment is pretty good for the grunt-level teachers, and the expat staff there are generally a nice bunch, although you will have to deal with a rising amount of paperwork (now that it is trying to better itself by becoming affiliated with Purdue University). It's more recommended for married-status teachers, as the Qatari housing ministry gives far greater priority to married teachers.

A one-armed, blind monkey could pass a CELTA. I know because I have worked with many at the universities, companies and schools I have worked for.

Now what, pray-tell, do you have against one-armed, blind monkeys? They've worked hard to gain credibility in the TEFL community and you, YOU, in one fell swoop destroy it all!

For shame!
