I've been told by a reliable source that Turkey is one of the notorious 'Everybody Passes' country, by order of the YOK. So no Turkey for me. I fail flunkies and those with bad attitudes towards the subject. And I'll never deviate from that position.

Demolish Bilkent, Boğaziçi and Middle East Technical University? Now thats a bit radical even considering the working conditions :>)

Just received word from a former colleague that Bilkent is on the prowl for some fresh meat to work at BUSEL, or the Bilkent University School of English Language. It was posted on the Ankara Expat Life Facebook page that they are now recruiting teachers with, I quote "little or no teaching experience", as long as you have a bachelors degree in a related field. Word is, The long time Director of this program can take almost all of the credit for this embarrassing development.
