|
|
Hi everyone,
I am coming up to KSA shortly and I was thinking of bringing a laptop. Any advice, please, on electrical/power point requirements around Jeddah? Also, how easy is it to send money home/out of the country? Does www.amazon ship up there?
Thanks in advance. |

Internet banking is available.
As far as I have found, all laptops are already set for international use and they switch automatically. (check the power block) Any required adapter plugs are readily available.
As to Amazon, it depends on what you are shipping - whether it is allowed, but it will be expensive.

Banking system in KSA is sophisticated, accessible and cheap IF YOU HAVE AN IQAMA. |

Thank you both for that. If you don't have an Iqama, is it possible to send money home? |

Western Union doesn't require an iqama I believe, but that may only be true for like the first few months that you are in the country. |
