Is it just me , or do the majority of posts on this august KSA
board now consist of :

a) I am Canadian, and my home and native land seems
to be in a little tiff with the Saudi authorities, and woe is me,
when do you think I can leave Nova Scotia and begin living
in a flash place like Kharj, or Hafr al- Batin?

b) I am a female teacher, Saudi sounds creepy, but would like suggestions about what I should pack for my big trip. Do they sell scarves there?

c) I have the good life in Korea, have actually drank the local
kool-aid and was truly believing that Hanguk (an Asian HUB, haha),
anchored that part of the world, but hey , having made it here,
in the ESL big-time, figured I could wow my facebook friends with
a quick tour of ...brace yourself....SAUDI ARABIA...oh, by the way,
is there a drive through window so I can get my docs done so as
not to miss too much of Happy Hour at Seoul Pub?

There was a rumor that Canada and Saudi have settled their tiff... don't know for sure.

Yes, there are many more women passing through since Princess Noura University seems to need hundreds of women teachers at the moment. And they seem to be hiring most anyone... many of them very inexperienced and new to the field... and travel.

The Korean applicants seem to have always been around...

Lots of airheads show up as teachers in KSA. To be fair not all of them come with Korean experience - but many do.

So, VS, you're basing your judgement on the quality and life experience of teachers at PNU on a "perusal of the threads" from thousands of miles away? lulz.

I think that's a wonderful idea. It's sure to get everyone outside the US who has never been there to stop saying all those nasty things about us. Hey, don't complain about our unjustified invasions, our drones, etc. if you've never been here.

That's exactly what I used to tell my geography teachers in school. I mean, hey, can you imagine, trying to teach me about places they'd never even been to?

VS, it just strikes me as bizarre that you have never taught in Saudi; have never been to Saudi. (Correct me if I am wrong, or forever hold yer tongue on the subject of "Teaching in the KSA.") & yet you have SUCH AN INTEREST in Saudi.

Just go there and work there and then you will be able to comment. As of now, you cannot (in any legitimate way).
