Does anyone know what AUK offers in terms of housing? Is it a stipend, or do they have housing they provide? Also, what kind of salary should I expect? I have an MA TESOL with 6 years IEP experience AFTER my MA. I'm also about to complete a PhD in Applied Linguistics (and I did part of my research for it in Kuwait).

Also, does anyone know what AUK are like to work for? When I was collecting data in Kuwait, I heard it was good, but that was 3 years ago and I know that things change.

If you scroll down just 8 entries below, you will be able to read 6 pages of what to expect at AUK.

No, that is a different institution... that is the American University of the Middle East. AUME, not AUK. It is AUME that has consistently had issues since it began.

AUK has been pretty stable since it started with few, if any, problems reported here. We haven't had any updates for awhile... which usually means that things are OK. It is normally the unhappy teachers who show up to post. Laughing

Thanks, VS, that's what I figured when I didn't hear anything after posting my questions. I have my phone interview with them this evening....fingers crossed!

Apologies to all for not reading the posts carefully.

It is AUM which is the American University of the Middle East, in affiliation with Purdue which gets all the negative feedback.

It is AUK which is the American University of Kuwait, currently ranked 6,387 in the world rankings.
