I'm looking for a cheap furnished room in Oaxaca City, longterm. Any advise as where to look. I'm already familiar with posts at the Lending Library.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! |

I suggest you go to CU and look for signs posted there. There are kind of two worlds when it comes to rental property in Oaxaca City. The ones for foreigners, which generally never falls into the category of "cheap", and ones for locals, especially students as higher education is still very centralized. Another place to look would be at the big IMSS hospital up near the ADO bus station, lots of doctors and med students from around the state working there and renting rooms. |

Thanks for your post MF. I found a place in a great location by lots of walking around and talking to people. btw, what's CU? Now I'm looking for private students. |

CU is Ciudad Universitaria, its used throughout Mexico when ever there is an extensive college campus--so in Oaxaca, it's the Campus of the UABJO you will see city buses heading that way or also the buses marked Plaza del Valle will pass by there. |
