The school used to be an okay/good school to work at and I worked there for 6 years. I left when management changed dramatically and became harsh towards the teachers. It's not a place for a real teacher and the school now is a magnet for those who cannot make it in their home countries and need to downshift to the third world in hopes that their demons won't follow them. I worked in both diploma and degree programs. The turnover in the degree program is very high and the turnover in the diploma is slightly above average. The diploma program has a history or reasonably good management so life for the teachers is okay. The history of the degree program has been marked by ever changing management and with each change, things get markedly worse. The current HOD's have no clue but act as if they invented the career of teaching. The corruption in the degree progam is unprecedented - everything is for sale. Teachers are treated very harshly and it's run by those with the least experience. If you have already lost your soul, perhaps ACK is the place for you. If you have even a gram of integrity left, take a pass on this place and find something better because teachers are jumping ship left and right. |

It's located next to a gym on the main road to the beach. At night, the Kuwaiti men rev their engines as loud as possible and try to "smoke the tires" on the pavement. in the morning, you see empty syringes that bodybuilders left in the parking lot.
the apt. manager tries to shake you down for "apt. cleaning fee" even though he is paid to take care of you.
the only good thing is that you are close to the beach and several restaurants...which I sorely miss, now. |
