Hi,
We are thinking of teaching in the Middle East next year, possibly UAE, or KSA, and would be bringing our 1 year-old. Anyone have experience bringing a toddler overseas, or to the above countries, particularly in regards to required vaccinations?
Thanks so much,
Ann

This thread really belongs in the General Mid East forum, but a half answer to your question is yes, many expats move their young families to the region without a hitch.

By the way, others have since responded to your vaccination question on the Saudi forum.

For more visibility regarding life/work in the Gulf, I suggest you post on those specific forums. Another good source of info about families and life in the region, are the various popular expat sites. Do an Internet search on expat forum [name of country]. You're bound to get your vaccination questions, bringing children, and more answered on those sites.

KSA is definitely doable. I was there as a family man when my older daughter was just over 2. My younger daughter was born there. Child care is affordable and if you are both working you can afford to have someone help inb the house. It was the only time in my life when we had a live-in servant !
